Constituted on the basis of geographical representation and not subject to political balance arrangements.

Functions and responsibilities:

·               Development Control – determination of planning and other applications relevant to the area and not otherwise delegated to Officers or to be considered by the Planning and Licensing Committee;

·               Enforcement of Planning Control;

·               Public Rights of Way Orders;

·               Tree Preservation Orders;

·               Input into Planning and Licensing Committee from the area perspective on other matters.
