Exclusion of the Public and Press To resolve that under Section 100A (4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act, and that this satisfies the public interest test. Review of Dual and Operator Licence To consider the report of the Deputy Chief Executive, (copy enclosed). Minutes: The Chairperson outlined the procedure that would be followed at the meeting and then asked all those present to introduce themselves.
The Licensing Officer outlined the application for the review of a Dual License and Operator’s License, highlighting points of consideration for the Committee.
The Chairperson then invited the applicant to make an opening statement. The applicant made an opening statement and provided some background information regarding the matter in question. He confirmed that he did not wish to call any witnesses.
In response to a number of questions from Members, the Applicant provided detailed explanation. Further clarification was also provided by the Licensing Lead Officer.
On confirmation that there were no further questions, the Chairperson thanked everyone present for their contributions and advised that the meeting would now close. The Committee would then consider the evidence before reaching its decision. All parties would be notified of the decision within five working days.
All parties were reminded that the applicant could appeal any decision of the Council to the Magistrates’ Court. |

Post Committee Decision Minutes: The Sub-Committee considered carefully all the information contained with the report and its appendices, along with additional information provided at the meeting.
RESOLVED that the driver is a fit and proper person and can continue to hold a Dual Licence and Operators Licence. |
